Idaho Landscapes
Paintings by Fred Choate & Ryan Wise
Fred Choate is a fourth generation Idaho native currently living in Boise, Idaho. He was born in Wendell and grew up in Buhl and Twin Falls. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Idaho State University. Within a one-hour drive from his home in Boise you can find deep canyons, deserts, alpine lakes and farmlands. He is beginning to find, however, that it is the relationship of water to the land that really fascinates him. No two bodies of water refract and reflect light in the same way. Attempting to capture this elusive quality of water is what keeps painting exciting for Fred.
Ryan Wise hails from the fruit capital of the Pacific Northwest, Yakima, Washington. The youngest son of artists, Ryan grew up with a deep passion for making and sharing art. He attended Boise State University where he earned both his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and his graduate teaching certification. His undergraduate emphasis was in Painting and Art History.

Emerging Artists Juried Show

Every year, high school art teachers curate and choose the best work from their students—in painting, drawing, illustration, photography, sculpture and ceramics for the Annual Art Source Gallery Emerging Artists Juried Show. The show is often the young artist’s first public showing and is a milestone in their artistic path. In addition to their art displaying at Art Source Gallery for the month of March, the students compete for approximately $1000 in prize money and a People’s Choice Award for Creativity.

CAPITOL CONTEMPORARY GALLERY
Capitol Contemporary Gallery is excited to announce two new exhibitions for the month of March— Revelation by guest artist, Heather Martindale, and Joshua Tree by Lorelle Rau. We are pleased to present Martindale’s luminous oil paintings and Rau’s mixed media collages inspired by nature. We will also be featuring sculpture by Kerry Moosman.
Mark your calendars for an Artist Talk on Thursday, March 28th at 5:30 pm. The show is free, open to the public, and runs through March 30th.

WELDING CLASSES
$300 – 1 person class for 3 hours
$550 – 2 person class for 4 hours
In Delia's Beginning class students will use the MIG process which will introduce the student to tack, fillet, lap and plug welds.
Students will also be introduced to plasma cutting, annealing, texturing, forming and use power and hand tools.
TIG available upon request.
